these little table sculptures from the master of italian design ettore sottsass are loud, colourful and joyful. cylinders, slices, spheres – stacked on top of each other in contrasting colours they make a solid papermill. really only basic forms with known mechanics. but the arrangement and colours challenge: their message seems to say “play with me”. unusual and thought provoking in the 1980s they are a classic again today. the mill has a ceramic grinder (oem)
