‘hashi’ is the japanese word for chopsticks. what makes these reusable chopsticks unique is their form and their material: the tip floats in the air due to its angled shape and can therefore be put down for a break during a meal without soiling the table – a lovely touch. the material offers a grip similar to wood so that rice can be picked up easily in comparison with other metal chopsticks.

as the production of several billion disposable chopsticks causes the destruction of tropical woods this alternative is not only beautiful and practical, but also environmentally friendly. ‘uki hashi’ are not suitable for dishwashers and should only be cleaned with a cloth or sponge without scratchy surface.
