moka BLACK espresso jug – design david chipperfield

the moka is a tribute to the first espresso pot for private households, developed by alfonso bialetti in 1933. with its distinctive octagonal shape, it became an icon of italian design.

for his design, the architect david chipperfield adopted the familiar form, which he simplified and modernized. the new details include, for example, the flat lid on which you can warm an espresso cup while cooking.

please note: the 1 cup, 3 cups and 6 cup versions are suitable for gas, electric and ceramic hobs. the version for 9 cups is also suitable for induction hobs.
