a new interpretation of hair decoration - the berlin-based design company clinq has taken on this age-old topic. inspired by origami, fabric patterns and construction techniques, the clips are folded from a single piece and do not require rivets or screws. due to the elasticity of the spring steel, they can be opened with light pressure, by pressing again the deformation of the material can be reversed and the clip closes.

the pieces of jewellery are handcrafted in berlin with tailor-made tools, and the surface is polished to a high gloss using abrasive pastes and powders. the gold-plated versions are previously coated with 24-carat gold in 2 μm.
